Hi all
i have posted before about my pair of 2000 115HP fichts, they have over 2000 hours on them and I was going to get new motors later this year, the old ones still go great by the way, but they have a lot of hours on them, as I relly like these engines is it worthwhile to rebuild the motors completely or because of the hours should I stick with my original plan and replace?? any expert thoughts would be great. new engines are not cheap these days but I assume a complete rebuild will not be either!

I would think complete rebuilds would be far less than half of what new ones cost.

And who said all Fichts were bad?

hey if I could be sure they would be "as good as new" after I got them rebuilt I would not even be asking this question! they have right now 2174 hours on them without any major dramas or reconditioning just not too sure if rebuilt is just half the price of new but also half as good, get what I mean?

Well, they won't be good as new but very close. Close would be good enough for me for less than half the $$$$.
