Hello, I have searched these threads high and low, I can not find out for certain if my Bearing Carrier is threaded or not. I don't want to fashion a device to pull it out if it is indeed supposed to screw out. Any help would be great.
Mercury 1150 I am not sure of the year. I think the serial # is 948 6262 It is the only number I can find and it is on the valve cover below the # 2 carb.

I'm wondering the same thing on my 135. I'm waiting to get my new one in the mail to look at before attemping to pull the old one. Do you have your replacement to look at? My guess is its pressed in.

The later style bearing carrier retainers had two bolts holding them. If you dont got the two bolts, it is likely threaded on. There are tabs to bend so the "dougnut" may be turned out.
