Re: 115 HP Recomendations
Do you seriously expect to get an answer that is useful to you?
How are you planning to use it? What is your budget? New or used? What dealers do you have close by? Chocolate or Vanilla? Ford or Chevy? Boy or Girl?
People will recommend what they have. And share their point of view based upon their own personal experience wtih that particular model.
I think the Evinrude E-tec helped Jesus walk on water.....it cures the swine flu....and the Evinrude E-tec is plated in pure gold!
OK seriously, I'm done teasing....there are alot of factors that go in to choosing an outboard....what is important to you????????
low initial cost? Dealer service? Fuel economy? Performance? Low noise? Cost of maintenance? Weight? Local access to parts?
We can't guess that for you.....
The best answer is to buy from a local dealer that you trust, provides you great service, and is an expert on the outboard that you are buying. IMHO, dealer is more important than anything else.
And what do I own and what was important to me to help me decide what outboard to buy? I purchased the Evinrude E-tec. Low cost of maintenance (none for 3 years), Self Winterization, Amazingly low fuel consumption, No smell, Lowest Emissions out there, Light weight, and good performance. To top it all, I have a great local dealer....
The E-tec 90 is a V-4 that will perform extremely well and has been extremely reliable.
I- like everyone else have a personal opinion......only you know what is important to you....
