I have a 1989 hurricane with a 115 merc. need to take trim off to check motor hopefully w/o pulling engine. It is a three piston unit, want to know if center (tilt) unit top pin is a screw in it seems to be as it is a slotted on port side. any help in removal appreciated.
I decided to prop up motor and take out the starboard side mounting bolts so I can rotate bracket up to reveal the back bolt. It worked fine.
