I have a good friend with a 2004 Merc 115 ELPO and recently had a local shop due annual maintenance. He not notices when he flushes it (not on muffs, it has garden hose attachment where you don't have to run motor) there is no tell tale stream. Has good stream in the water and no over heating (least no alarms). I checked the opening and it is clear. Plus is fine when running in water). I think it is odd coincidence it was fine until they did impeller and?
Any thoughts as to root cause and is it reason for concern? I am unfamiliar with this type of motor (garden hose attachment where you don't need muffs). But it always had tell tale when you flushed it before so that had me thinking.
