115 Merc. Owners

I know there are a lot of 115 Merc owners out there since I saw 4 on the lake yesterday. I need to take my prop to my local marine store and see what the actually pitch is on my prop since its not stamped on it.

My question for you fellow owners is whats your pitch? Top speed? Boat specs?

I have a '74 Mark Twain Trihull with a '79 115 Merc. my top speed is about 37 on GPS and the hole shot is awesome but it works. I am trying to figure out what I could do for a spare prop. for either speed or pulling.

15ft speed boat running a 19pitch ss and hate it my revs are way to high, also have a 21pitch and its better than the 19. I get about 45-50mph with the 19 but run at 6000rpm the 21 i get a solid 55mph at 5500rpm

Tower, we will try to help you as much as we can, but there is certain information that is needed in order to help you. The following form has all of the information that is needed to help you with your problems finding the right prop. If you do not know all of the information that is asked for on the form please give us the most information you have available, and especially all the information that is in RED as I have a program I designed to find the right prop for any planning hull boat that needs this information. It requires time to find all this information when we have to look for it and in my defense I expect you to be willing to expend as much effort in finding the right prop as I do. We hope to be able to help you get the exact prop you need for your particular uses, and this information is required to do that.
