Can you please advise at what temp the over temp alarm sounds for each cyl bank? and at what temp it turns off????

How long does it sound for?

I have fitted temp sender/guage in cooling water line after both tell tales leave each cylinder bank and before they enter exhaust to waste... get approx 135f or maybe 140f if run very hard.... if temp goes somewhere above 150f odd or higher? the alarm sounds, but if i fix problem (weed etc) temp comes back to 140f or less yet alarm still sounds for quite some time before it goes off (i am sharing guage with water from both heads though so if one head has prob this will be diluted somewhat...)?????
(note temp is only sensative if i have my sandtrap in the line..(pressure drop?) this is not a filter type but a hamilton jet centrifuge type and does not stop/restrict water flow...)

Also..
if anyboady knows about where the cooling water is taken from the jet unit housing please respond re this... there appears to be a "waste", two holes where excess water is expelled?? also at this location (seen when nozzle removed) is a 1/2" slotted plug? is this to vary flow? or is it part of a pressure relief to bleed off excessive cooling water when revs are up?? if so can i block two exit holes to increase flow????

is there anything else i can do to further protect engine from being clogged (after sand has entered block that is) by sand etc and damaging thermos etc....
