My 1974 1150 has not run in a few years and I can almost guarantee that the previous owner did not drain the carbs when he stored it, so I assume they will require overhaul. Heres my question... my 1970 1150 parts motor just had the carbs re done and I was planning on using them on the 74. Are there any differences in carbs from 1970 to 1974? I didnt think so till I read about different types of pistons and jet sizes in another post, so I thought it would be a good idea to ask.

70-74 saw more changes than 74-88. I'd stick with the carbs that came on it. Try cleaning them 1st.

-W
