So my new issue with my 1977 115 hp johnson is if i have to replace my stator which one do i replace it with? the 12 amp or the 6 amp...
A little history on the motor, I got it from a guy that said it was a 71 not true to the best of my knowledge it is a 77 how ever there is nothing on the motor to identify that... The plate on the side of the motor is gone and the round tag on the top tells me that it's not the original power head... Threw the cdi website I have concluded that my stator is not producing enough voltage to make my plugs fire so the question above becomes my new problem... Can any one help?
