Thats great news and I can't imagine how pumped you are. I hope to have that excitement one day too. You do realize you gotta have pics on the trolling motor set up 'cause I need to steal ideas from someone that has done it...so that would be you my friend.;) Here is to you and yours for a great Christmas!

Yea ,I'll get some pictures of it and show you what I did on it.I had one bad spot in the bow metal that I wanted to cover(really the only spot on the boat I really didn't like) so it sort of dictated where I placed it,but it worked out for me because of the quick mount. When mounted it is kinda of in the way of a front passenger if riding up front but I felt if I was fishing there wasn't going to be anyone up there but me,and if I wasn't fishing I can remove the trolling motor leaving all kinds of room for the passenger.I used some 1/2" uhmw plastic as a spacer mounted through the bow with a full piece of marine grade 3/4" ply underneath to give strength to the mount and to give enough clearance to deploy the motor without contacting the front of the boat and to keep from having to hang it way over the nose. The quick mount really helps with this so I could tuck it back as far as I could.Plus mounted this way I can easily deploy the motor when fishing from the seat. And It does not get in the way of the cover.Plus if I wanted to put the bow rails back on,it won't get in the way.I'd like to put them back on but the rail connectors have a bad case of cancer and a few are cracked so they have to be replaced some time in the future.Good luck on yours and hope it goes smooth for ya.Jimmy J.
