Hey all I just bought my first boat a month or so ago and Im going to take the winter to fix er up! I already have the boat stripped out! and rubbed the hull down with Marykates aluminex but it left the hull with a whitish tint! To get somewhat of a shine back to the aluminum I tried rubbing a section down with noxon, ive also tried brasso and mothers aluminum polish so far no luck! any ideas?

Do you want a polished surface? Most don't because of the glare. I would just use clenser and a brush or skuff pad to leave a clean but dull surface

I wouldnt mind having a polished surface below the waterline. im gonna paint above the splash rail so glare shouldnt be an issue

When you "Polish Metals",
You're Removing material from the surface......
You could conceivably Polish a Hole right thru it........
I think I'd rethink what you have in mind.........

I mean, Who wants a Thinner boat bottom, Especially an Old Row Boat.................

Paint the Whole Thing.............. ;)
