Just got a boat given to me with a 1988 Force 125hp. The motor is really clean and has been sitting up a couple of years. Previous owner had ignition problems and gave up on it and had no details for me. I hooked up the gas and sure enough it cranked right up. It does spit and sputter and sounded like it wasn't hitting on all cylinders. While trying to rev it up it would backfire/misfire. I took all plugs out and turned it over and 2 of the plugs had a really nice blue spark. 2 of the cylinders had a really weak orange/white spark. I am guessing it is a CD module since it is affecting 2 cylinders right?? Ignition components are blue. Is there a way to test a that module? Also, any suggestions on where to get one if that is the problem?

Thanks,
JT

YOU CAN SWAP THE WIRES ON THE STATOR FROM MODULE THAT FEEDS 1@2 CYLINDERS TO 3@4 CYLINDER IF WEAK SPARK MOVES IT THE STATOR.STATOR WIRES YELLOW @ BLUE.THEN ALSO YOU CAN SWAP THE TRIGGER WIRES FROM GOOD CYLINDER TO WEAK CYLINDER.IF PROBLEM MOVES IT THE TRIGGERS.BY SWAPPING WIRES PROBLEM STAYS THE SAME THEN YOU MAY HAVE A BAD MODULE.

Does anyone have an ignition wiring diagram that they could post?
