I just recently bought a 1988 bayliner cobra with a 125 Force motor. My question is what is the best oil to mix with the fuel for this motor? I know this is a loaded question and everyones opnion will be differnt just curious as to what most ppl are using. This is the first 2 cycle engine i've owned of this caliper, use to using lil chainsaws. I've heard talk of amersol, what about royal purple, synthetic or coventional?

Thanks

Re: 125 Force oil

Any TC3 outboard oil will work. I use the cheapest I can find, usually from WalMart (can't remember the name of it) but it's several $$ cheaper than the penzoil they have. A gal cost around 10 bucks. Maybe a little more this year but the stuff sells out quick.

Any TC-W3 rated outboard oil will do.

Like Dave, I use Wal Mart's SuperTech.

You can spend a lot more and use a TC-W3 synthetic. That would get you less smoke and less chance of carbon buildup. Cleaner for the environment, too.
