I am a stumped mechanic.
Customer states ran 40mph last year then had problems.
Found carb midrange pickup tube bent by screwdriver.
Replaced carb parts, did sinc and link, idle at 0-2 btdc WOT at 32Atdc
120psi all spark on all four,
ran boat for two hours on lake to get it to run. setting timing
no midrange, carbs are flowing from mid ports then mains idle mix at 1/2 out
takes forever to get on plane then tops out at 30
runs like an achor is out.
any help with these FINE FORCE MOTORS

Betcha got a weak or dead cylinder.

What happens when you disable each plug while at idle? Did you inspect the reeds and test for scavenging pressure in each crankcase?

Reeds are not broken did not want to remove cage due to no gasket on hand at the time
Getting motor back this week will check fire again on all cyl
the boat ran fine at wot but he insists it ran faster.
Thanks
