Hi Guys, first post. Maybe this should be in the prop section....but there are some force guys in here that may have my combo.

Not sure of the exact prop as I need to remove it and replace it still. I do know that it is the original. (if that helps)

I have a 1989 force 125 on a 1989 18ft bayliner CC trophy. The top speed by GPS was 31mph at approx 5000 rpms (slightly higher at times) with 2 200 lb people on board. I use the boat mainly for fishing, but it would be nice to get there and back in a hurry. No tubing or ski's in the outloook.

The boat is fairly new to me, but the motor shows very good compression, and very even numbers (checked at dealer) and seems to run fine.

I just used a sand bar to lighten up my prop  and now I need a new one. I'm open to suggestions on size and pitch and material (alum/SS). If anyone has this combo or something close, I would rather not start trying out all sorts of props to find the right one...MAYBE someone here can set me straight. If you need more info let me know....I can check the size of the original, but it may be later today before I get to it.

i run 17 and 19 with the 17 i have to watch the wideopen throttle it will push me over 5000 rpm but it gets out the water good with a 19 it just feels sluggish getting out of the whole but crusies really good and will hold the plane good at lower speeds, i have tried a 21 it takes 1/8 mile to get out the water i got 10mph more than a 19 but when you back it down it wants to fall off plane real easy

Thanks Fab9....do you see any top speed difference in the 17 to the 19.....and if I decide Stainless, does this change things?

If you are in an area with lots of sudden stops(sandbar) keep the aluminum. You probably have a 19p(check)It's stammped on the side. The stainless will give better acceleration and the same top end. If you decide to go SS you need to pitch down 19 to a 17,
Your motor should be able to run 5200-5500wot. If your present prop did that then replace with that. Stainlees and sand/rocks could cost you a lower unit.Take the money that the SS would cost and buy a spare.Jerry

Yeh, I'm fairly new on the water so I guess I better "practice" on the aluminum...I'm headed out now to take the old one off, and see what is stamped on it. Thanks

Re: 125 force (prop change now needed)

Just got back

The prop I smashed says: Michigan 072108 (not sure what this means)

My spare (never tried yet) says 14x13 on the side, and A501 2651 on the end. This one has a much larger outside diameter....

Anyhelp is appreciated telling what these are.

If the moderator wants this moved to the prop section I understand, i was just hoping to find a Force with this combo.
