Someone else told me just to clean the carbs and that should correct it?

Also where the water spits out of the engine it is not a steady stream it is kind of spitting out then it stops for a second then it spits and stops,Could that be just a clog or more then likely is it an impellor issue?

Could the prop be the wrong pitch is that why the boat is having problems planeing off,Or could the prop be to big and this is causeing my headache beside the water issuse or impellor.

Get the engine running properly before making any prop changes.

Sounds like the impeller is in need of replacement. They don't shoot a steady stream, but should give a good consistent splatter.

Cleaning and rebuilding the carbs is a good idea, then properly adjust them.
Make sure that you do not mix any parts between the carbs.

That motor is capable of drinking 9-10 gallons of gas per hour.

Thanks the motor seems to run well, its just when trying to plane off it like hits a wall at idle or in neutral it is fine.It seems like it is not strong enough to spin the prop fast enough or push the boat onto plane.

Before doing any other work, check the compression on each cylinder.
You can get a gauge for about $30

What pitch prop do you have on it? its usaly stamped right on it. If your looking to plain real quick and get some decent speed get like a 16 pitch prop. I have a compistie 4 blade one on my party barge with a inline 6 merc (165 hp) and with 8 people and 2 tubes it still plains and does 38 mph

Just re-read your post. Does the boat ever actually get up on plane?

If not, your prop may have a spun hub.

You can have it rebuilt, or buy a new prop.
If the hub is spun, the rpm will rev real high but the boat will basically stop.
