125 merc dies when you hit waves

i've covered this before, but my 125 only dies when you slam into waves pretty hard. its not the fuel, its not the carbs. i think this is a different problem than the other guys posts, because their boats miss throughout the rpm ranges. what could i try next? ignition parts, ect.????<br /><br />thanks

Tim, It sounds like you have a broken wire in the boat's or engine's wiring harness. You can easily inspect the engine's wiring harness, but the boat's wiring harness is more difficult. I would start the motor on the muffs and then try to make the ignition problem happen by shaking the harness on the boat first and then the motor. Turn the motor left and right, pull on the wires gently etc. I bet it is near the plug on the boat's harness. (I had one there)

Could also be the kill switch when you hit the big ones. Might check it out. Just a guess...
