Good morning......I have a 19 Sea Hunt center console with a 115 4-stroke Yamaha I picked up in Florida.....I live on Kentucky Lake and would like to install a trolling motor to use on the Lake and in Florida.....my question is to go with the 12volt or 24 volt....yes, the 24 is more powerful and will last longer but "weight" is my concern since the trolling motor will be mounted on the stern of the boat along with the starting battery and the trolling motor battery.....I don't need to be out fishing all day, just a few hours at a time....and mostly fishing coves and back waters out of the wind......what's your thoughts?.....thanks Dave

:welcome: Aboard cogatti...

If you only have in mind a few hours in coves and back water, I would go the 12 volt route. It is the simplest and easiest setup and simple charge one battery and go fishing. Sounds like the better idea to me. Bear in mind that pushing a boat takes a lot more attention then pulling one. JMHO
