130hp over heating

my 1995 130hp johnson continues to over heat new water pump and new t-stats installed one week ago.help. telltail hose has strong discharge.

How do you know it's overheating? Describe what's happening.

the hightemp alarm activates the rpm's drop and the discharge water is very hot.
