Hello, this is my first post on this forum. I just joined today after finding this site by random after looking for engine parts.

I have a 135hp johnson v4 low profile 1972 updated to a 1974 ignition.

I have a manuel for this engine and have traced it to the power pack.

On the power pack white side I have the numbers 581896 KC3.

On the black top side 320787

I have seen prices for these power packs for around $100 but have seen some on ebay for under $50.

I don't know if I need a 6 amp ro 12 amp?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks:)

581796 is not a valid part number. The 320787 is a cover, not a power pack. A 1974 power pack 581311 supercedes to 581731 and is stocked by Bombardier. About $175. If it makes a difference, they provide a 1 year warranty on their parts sales.

Thanks emd, Where do you get the correct numbers? Seems like there is a difference between a 1973 and the 1974 to 1977. These are the numbers I have seen for CDI and Seirra 113-1731, 18-5753 Any difference for 6 or 12 amp? I would think with a little larger engine I would need a 12amp?

Thanks
