Just purchased a boat 1999 135hp mercury o/b. I've never owned an outboard before so I really don't know how they should idle. Should it be a smooth idle, or does it feel like a small miss? Was hard to start and found cracked hose on fuel enrichment solenoid. Seems to smoke a lot on start, and also seems to miss at around 1500 rpm. Also, when cold starting do you need to give partial throttle? Link was wrong on Carbs, readjusted to specs so that engine would run on idle circuits. Adjusting idle jets seemed to make little difference. I know this is a bunch of questions....any help would be appreciated. Thanks
