I am running a 14.25 x 21 3 blade Alu and hit the rev limiter about 7/8 throttle. I am guessing I would probably hit 5K plus on the tach with out the rev limiter. Recommended WOT is 4400 to 4800. I am thinking of going to a 23" pitch so I am looking at probably 300 to 400 drop in WOT RPM's thus ending up in the 4600 range. My question is should I try and stay with the 14.25. If I go to to a 14" does it change the 300 to 400 WOT RPM change. Last question, I noticed on iBoats quite a few prop manufactuers, does it really matter what brand of prop. New to the forum appreciate any insight the more experienced with prop changes can shed on this, thanks.

Diameter is a product of the prop design when dealing in that small difference.
Assuming same material the 300 to 400 rpm should hold true.
The experts may be along with a brand/design preference.

SteelSpike, thanks for the response, yes I am staying with AL. I believe with a 300 to 400 drop this will put me in the 4600 to 4700 range which is on the high side of the 4400 to 4800 suggested WOT range. I am hoping to hit 4700. Prop design / manufactuer suggestions would be helpful at this point, again thanks.
