14' Alumacraft F7 Motor Size

Hey all! New to the board. I have an old 14' Alumacraft F7. Basically a three bench fishing boat. I bought it from a resort for $50, its in great shape, but the capacities tag has been removed. <br /><br />I am wondering if anyone knows the max weight capacity of this boat. I would also like to find out what the max motor size is. I currently have an 1968 Evenrude 9.5 SS which I will always use for duck hunting, but, I am looking to put a larger motor on for fishing in the summer.<br /><br />Any help would be appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Aaron

The older ('57) F-7 was rated for 22HP and the newer ones at 20HP.I don't know how they come up with that because I had a '87 Merc 20HP on one and it was a little on the dangerous side with no load.Even with two people aboard more than one guy found himself on the floor when we took off or cut it back from full throttle.Sure was fun!
