I am going to purchase a 14 ft lund aluminum boat, and would like to remove the front bench seat and the wooden peice that runs down the middle. I would like to install a new wooden floor, and pedestal seats. The boat is a 1983 Lund, would there be a problem in doing this?

that is structural, do not remove the seat base.

If you pull that seat the boat will be floppy like it is made of tin foil, if you remove it you would have to replace it with something, I don't think you can get the floor high enough to add the stiffness you woudl need.

Can you post a couple more picture of what/where you are trying to do. Can't tell by the one posted which model Lund that is.
