I am trying to find a model of boat for my family.
here are the requirements i have

-14 feet or less
-reasonable powerful/sporty (i'd like to be able to water ski)
-around 3K

if you have or know of a good boat, i'd like to hear about it
Thanks for any replies

You might try checking used boats on line in your area. Thats what I did. Good luck boat hunting. :)

Just FYI We have 3 kids and we own a 19,ft cuddy and it gets crowded exspecilly if any one else rides and they usually do.

the function of this boat would be similar to a jet ski...

i've looked at models like a bayliner jazz, glasspar G3 if that helps

if you want something with that much power on such a small boat try a jet boat by ski doo. also why 14ft? 16ft opens your possibilites to a lot more. even 15ft

14 feet allows me to keep the boat in the same slip as my cabin cruiser.
(moorage is $pendy!)

you could also try to get a heavy duty aluminum boat. my 14' lund can take a 40hp. also try a boston whaler or mckee craft.

My guess with those requirements would be a jet boat. I hear the yamaha's are nice, but haven't been on one. Or maybe a big (3 person) jetski?

I'd be looking for an aluminum Starcraft, the Holiday model was made in 14' hull length for many years, and they don't require much HP to get planed out.

It's a closed-bow runabout so not too much room for fishing and such but might work well for what you need. Being aluminum they hold up very well and older hulls can be found in great condition.

Good luck to ya!
