I have a 14ft v-hull and it leaks alot. How would I go about fixing these leaks. I already replaced the rivits and put a epoxy on it. I have a 9.8 hp motor on it i think it loosened them up. Well what a perment fix besides welding? Will epoxy work? Somebody help me I need to get it fixed.

Tucke87
You need to describe the leaks, and also why you think it's leaking where it is. Usually it's pressure point or hull flex. Epozy and new rivets will not always work. Does your hull flex or pound when running? Are you overpowered?

Do not use glues, resins, epoxies. It's all trash and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. I am in the marine welding and fabricating business and aluminum boat restoration is one of the very common things I do. This is a link to another thread I wrote in and it will explain everything :

http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=002215

Any further questions, please feel free to answer to this post, not the above linked.
