Re: 15 Horse Outboard Recommendations
Well wolos, I ain't no expert but certaintly do my share of research on boats and motors. I just bought a brand new 2004 Johnson 8 horse myself. Part of the reason was cause of the low weight, 58 lbs vs Merc's 73. I wanted something easy on my back. Looks like the 15's up there with the Merc. in weight though. <br /><br />Not a whole lot of impartial info out there on the new Bombardier motors, other than the usual manufacturers comments and advertiser's sites. I haven't been able to find any negative reviews at all, other than some from the last year of OMC ownership. I have read some good reviews on the new manufacturing facility though. I think it looks like a nice motor, though time will tell....
<br /><br />And although I'm sure not every part of it is not made in America, it sure looks like an American product with the Ole Johnson name on there!
