15 HP Magneto

I have a 1995 15 hp mercury ser# OG204092 with a magneto for running nav lights ect. can I use it to charge my battery?If so do I use a isolator or some sort of regulator?Also is their a online manual available for this outboard.

To charge a battery all you need is to install a rectifier.

Thanks Laddies I appreciate the info, is a rectifier a common part I pick up at my local marina or autoparts store ? Do you know if I need to know the amps it puts out?

Yes, the local NAPA store should have one , all mecury use the same one.
