15 hp mariner, convert to tiller

I am considering buying a 15hp that is currently set up for remote steering, I need it switched to a tiller handle. what does this cost to do it right and any sugestion on where to get parts, or anything I should be aware of?

I think I would wait for a tiller motor should be easy to find.Stick with the more mainline motors;E/J,Merc etc.

Eh??? what's not 'mainline' about a Mariner? It's just a Merc with a different coloured shirt on.

Near as I can tell that would depend on the year some have no relation to the Mercs.And it appears a pretty limited parts supply.

so far I know it's a 1998.
