Installing a kicker on a tritoon. Big optimax 250hp is overkill for slow speeds and probably not good for it. The Yamaha has an11" pitch prop which is great for a 11' RIB it really scoots. But I think no good for pushing a 24' tritoon with 10 people onboard. Wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how low pitch I should get on a new prop.

Need to tach that 15 with an induction tach at wot and check achieved rpm, compare to factory min-max wot range, probably hitting the lug zone with that 15 already with 11 pitch. Ideal to be around max wot range lightly loaded. + 200/300 revs per less pitch will probably work on a heavy set-up.

Is that 15 a short, long shaft OB ? You plan boating with 10 up on a regular basis assume on lakes, calm waters ?

Happy Boating
