I have a 15 hp evinrude (Model Number E15RC4D, Serial Number E0657075) with tiller handle, I use it for a kicker trolling motor. It is hooked up to the primary motor with a bar to control steering, but I have no way to control the speed with out walking back and adjusting it. Was wondering what it would take to convert just the throttle and run it up to the captains chair (which would be about 16' of cable). One problem is I’m not sure on the year was wondering if there was away to cross reverence any numbers on the motor to get it?

as far as the throttle control go to ebay and find a shift/throttle controller that fits, you engine, is the easyiest way, rather than try to rig something. here's a listing of a controller that i belive would meet your need. you would need to get the proper length cable from teleflex. you could shift and control speed from helm.
