I just bought an '87 merc blackmax 2 stroke 6 cylinder and it seemed to run fine.I just noticed as I'm cruising at 10 or 15 knts it will get sudden bursts of power.My buddy has a 90 hp and it does the same.Can anybody tell me what it is?
Sounds like the motor is racing. Could be that the needle valve is not getting a good seat in the carb. When you prime does the bulb get good and stiff without dripping gas out the carb?
