150 faststrike??

ok hear i go .my question is i have a 1998 johnson 150 faststrike. every now and then on take off when im easing into .it kinda dogs out on me dies .fires right back up idles good just dogs out on take off every now and then.any ideas ?another ? i have is on my linkage i was giving it the once over and when you drop it in gear .then push it forward a bit more it looks like my timing advances a good half in .before it starts to open up the carbs. is this normal should my timing advance way before the carbs start to open. any help ideas thanks a bunch

either dirty carbs, or link and sinc needs adjusting. got an OEM manual?

no manual .tashadaddy thanks for the reply .need to get one .what do you think about my timing advancing a good half inch .before the carbs start kicking in .im just guessing but im thinkin im easing into it timing advancing but no juice .then it boggs dies .if i hammer it no problems youre gone.cant see why the timing advancing that much before its getting any carbs .anyhow keep the opinions coming
