150 Ficht Starter problem Help!

I have a 97 150 Ficht (newer powerheads). The starter turns but does not engage the engine. I took the starter out thinking it was a bendix that pops out and was not popping. There is no bendix I discovered. What is under the flywheel housing that is broken and needs to be replaced? Anything I should know about this? I do not have a manual for it but am a decent mechanic. Boat is not close by, so I have to make a long trip back and would like to buy the new part before I head back to redisassemble and fix. Thank you for your help!

go to this site, follow the prompts to your engine. there are complete diagrams, and parts list, find what you need. i know nothing about a ficht.
