150 force

i have a 1990 150 force that runs great except when you try to run real slow or idle which it will not do it dies i have had carbs. rebuilt head gasket replaced and head shaved. now i am told that the stator needs replacing when they check the fire sometime the top two cly.fire sometimes the bottom 3 the dealer tool for checking the fire only checks four cly.at a time so i dont know about this please help

Did they check the compression? Did all plugs have spark?<br />these are the two questions. It doesn't realy matter,even if they can only check one-at-a -time provided they all have fire, the stator should be good.

yes thy checked compression it was 125 lb. per cly.
