I have a new (2014, 60 hours) pontoon boat with a 150 HP Honda outboard that is very hard to turn, particularly to port. I've had it back to the dealer twice, but all they do is bleed the system, which does nothing. Anyone have a suggestion to fix this problem?

What kind/model of steering do you have?

Hi Larry, below is a link to the manual. You have a good system on your boat, my guess is the dealer does not know how to bleed the system, you have a leak, or there is a restriction in a line. I would suggest printing out pages 42 and 43 and hand them to the dealer. The hydraulic steering system is one of the simplest in the boating world.

My thought is a line is crimpled and needs replaced or the steering cylinder needs replacing

Adjust your trim tab trailing edge to the Starboard and try trimming the motor out while underway.
