150 hp force, 1990 model

We just purchased this. Sounds like it almost cranked up, then gas blew out everywhere. Any suggestions on possible prognosis?<br /><br />I'm in Columbus GA & want to take it to a reputable engine repair place. Griffith Marine is undergoing an audit - so nothing there. Action Marine on Victory Drive proved to be overpriced & they never call me back. Any ideas?
