can you bolt up a 1984 evinrude 2.6 to the mid section of a 1984 150xp?

Its called top secret because no-one reads it, it may as well be classified.

I have taken the time to read those files. But I still need to know can a evinrude 2.6 powerhead be bolted to the mid section of an 1983 evinrude 150xp? can any one answer?

Won't fit. You can probably determine the correct parts matchup from the online factory parts lists. Check out the Bombardier website: epc.brp.com. FYI, the crossflow flatback 150 (early 175, early 200) engine is 149 cubic inches, the later 2.6, 235 and late 175 (bubble backs) are all 160 cubic inch engines. You will find all these big block engines are ported differrently than a 150.
