150 xr6 starting problem and idle problem?

2 problems. 1. i just recently purchased a brand new 2005 glastron sx w/ a 2005 mercury 150 xr6(2 stroke carb-less than 70 hours) and once in a while when you start it and let it idle for a few minutes it will just die or once you put it into reverse or forward it will just die sometimes. my first thought was that the carbs were plugged from sitting, but this was midweek using it every day. now this doesnt happen too often but enough to think that it maybe shouldnt be doing this. it idles at about 650 rpms(too low maybe?) if that matters at all. And 2. when starting it cold i make sure the primer bulb it hard and i turn the key while choking it as well. normally it starts after about 5-10 seconds of cranking but for some reason it took a few minutes worth. i thought maybe i flooded it but then while out on the water after shutting it down, i went to go fire it up again and the same thing happened; it wouldnt start for a few minutes then finally it would pop and after a few more turns of the key, it would start. any insight or is this normal? thanks

That thing is brand new! don't know your answer and hate waiting on dealer but make dealer/warranty handle that, my 2 cents.
