I have a 2005 Crestliner 1850 sportfish with a 150 4 stroke Yamaha that currently is running an aluminum prop. The problem that I have is if I am pulling a tube and turn hard into a corner the prop seems to cavitate and I have to pull back on the throttle. Not sure if the aluminum blades are deflecting dut the force or what the problem is. I was thinking of going to a steel prop versus a stainless due to the fact that the lake I am on has many rocks. Any recommendations?
Thanks,

What pitch prop is the aluminum and what is your RPM at wide open throttle. I've got a Yamaha ProV Series Stainless 14-1/2? x 21P M1 that too much pitch for my heavy Ranger. I had to go to a 19P. Might be about right for your lighter Crestliner. Perfect condition and will give you a good price.
