I have been looking at a 18ft 2000 Lund boat with a 150hp Ficht engine. Has anyone heard or had any problems with this engine? Is bombardier doing the warranty and if so any problems. Thanks
Bombardier is covering the warranty on 2000 and newer engines. If you have any questions about the warranty on this motor, obtain the serial number and call Bombardier's customer support line at 847-689-7090, they can fill you in on all the specifics.<br /><br />I have a 2001 150 Ficht on a Lund Pro-V, its a great rig. It runs very smooth and quiet and has excellent fuel consumption for cruising.<br /><br />-John

If it is a '98 or '99 and has no transferrable warranty, run away.<br /><br />If it is a 2000 or later Bombardier warranty applied so any troubles may have been fixed. I would ask for a service history and at least a year warranty.<br /><br />Good luck.
The engine is a 2000. What kind of problems were they having? Was it with any that were made in 2000. I do recall reading about the general power head problems they had or are we talking about some other problems?
