HI,
Iam thinking about rebuilding my powerhead.Looking for good reliable place where I might be able to purchase a ring and piston kit plus gaskets for 1991 Force 150 hp.Just what to pull the head off and replace all piston and rings,I work in a machine shop so getting any machining done just requires me working night shift LOL.

Thanks
Shane

Compression test??
Have you taken the motor apart?
Any damage?
E-bay is a good place to start looking for gasket sets.
Then try to find someone who's selling Wiseco Pistons and rings.
The Wiseco pistons are easy to replace on the connecting rod.
OEM pistons need special tools to put on the rods.

Wiseco rings only work on Wiseco pistons.

I'd say about the hardest part of the rebuild is making sure the locating pins on the crank
bearings get in the right spot.

When disassembling, don't take apart anything you don't need to( exhaust tube).

Hi,
Compression test was done only have 55psi on #4 the remaining are holding 150psi. I only removed the cover so I could see the piston and #4 piston is pitted plus I have a couple scores on the wall not to bad thou.

If the scoring is bad enough to catch a finger nail??? then it needs to be bored.
#4 operates one of the fuel pumps, check it and see if it's bad?
That can cause the piston and rings to go bad.

If it still starts?? spray some starting fluid around the intake and see if it makes the motor run different??
If it does then the #4 started sucking air and caused the problem.
