1518 duracraft 1975

I have just bought a 1975 15ft duracraft the pther day and i took it out yesterday and started leaking. How can i tell where it is leaking? also how do i replace some of the rivits once i find out? and also i paid 1100 for a 1975 15ft duracraft and a 1973 20hp was that a good deal? im new to boats so i dont know if i made a good decision or not.
