15hp evinrude won't stay running.

I have a 1999 15hp evinrude 4stroke that won't stay running. I have tried almost everything cleaned carb, new fuel lines, new plugs, and cleaned fuel pump. It will start and run about 3-4 seconds then die. I can wait a few seconds and start it again with same results. Need help done reached end of knowledge on trouble shooting.

I've got the same problem with my 1977 Johnson 25. I've done everything I can think of. At first it wouldn't start at all then I adjusted the float. It will start and run for 4-5 sec and then die. Think my next step is to adjust the float a little more. Have you tried to adjust the float?

How do you adjust the float? And what does this do? I am having same trouble on my 1955 25 hp

OK not sure what I did but now my 15 evinrude 4stroke will idle but will not rev up it sounds like it's flooding. It has air blowing out intake while idleing. Could this be a timing issue?
