We acquired this motor for our wedding gift. It was stored outside for 7+years without any maintance or start ups. I recently took it for a tune up to a local enthusiast of chrylser outboard motors. He put the right plugs in (l86c champions), before it had some 35hp johnson plugs in. After tune up, we took her out on the lake, ran great! After about 15 minutes it overheated. After about 2 weeks, i had time to research and pulled the lower unit. Quite amazing what i found , attached below. I also checked the plugs, the gaps for plug #1 was 27, #2 was 32.

Questions
-are the L86c the right plugs for this motor
-what are the gaps suppose to be at
-where can i buy a water pump kit
BTW, this is my first outboard motor. I'm pretty machancially incline as i fix all my cars but outboard motors are foreign to me. Seems to be very easy to operate so far.
