15hp with a fuel leak

I was trolling and noticed an occasional drip of gas coming from the motor. After closer inspection, it looks to be coming from a small hole in what is the primer area of the carb. assembly. My motor has the prime that you pull out and in return it pushes down on a tab next to the carb. There is a black tab with a thick blue washer around it. The assembly has a top & bottom held together with 4 screws and a gasket in the center. On the side of this is where the little hole is that the gas is coming from. Any suggestions as to why its doing this and how to fix it. Is it like a small soft plug that goes in there and is blown out if over primed?

Hi,

I haven't looked at one in years but if the hole is in the top cover of your primer then you have a rupture in your primer diaphram. It is easy to replace.
Just be mindful of the tiny round check ball underneath the diaphram.
