16' 68 seaking

i just traded my older quad for this and i hope i did the right thing as the trailer fell apart last night on the way home but im stuck with it now as the guy wont answer the phone when i call. Any way plans are fix trailer first then put some seats in and maybe a paint job

I also have a 50hp force that i might put on their instead fo the 35 hp. Anyone know much about the seaking boats?

Not much to know. There were TONS of very similar fibergalss runabouts made in the 60's. It probably has rotted stringers and transom. It's not an overwhelming job to properly repair one of those little boats. Lots of similar projects going on here if you search around. They make sharp little cruisers when fixed up. There are numerous places online for trailer parts. It would move ok with the 35 but the 50 would be better.

good mews so far i haven't found any rot in the deck or stringers only two small chips in the gel coat that I'm going to fix soon looking for ideas for the interior would like to make it cheep as I'm the only one working in the house right now while the wife goes to collage

I would also suggest checking the transom if you haven't yet. Looks like a nice boat.

did that good and solid so hopefully all I'll need to fix is the trailer and new interior

Hi all havent been on here for about 8 months. But Ive done a few small things to the boat like fixed the trailer put some seats in and a rod storage rack. but i may be selling it for cheep to buy something newer not sure yet
