Hello everyone,
Im going to cut the floor out of my CS and remove the water logged foam. Once I get the new foam in, I want to glass over the foam and set the old floor over the new glass while wet. Then glass over the seams to seal.
1. Will this work?
2. What kind of material and resin should I use?

Thanks for any help

Hello, I have glass in a lot of bass boats for resale. I never glass in form. I glass in the wood that is going over the form to stop water getting to the form. And that a easy process, just takes a little time. I get all that I need from Walmart depending on the size of the boat...the rasin and harder is the most expensive. Walmart sell fiberglass and rasin in a small can. But if you are going to be doing a large area, you might want to think about getting a gallon from Advance or Autozone. I spoke with 3M the maker of the fiberglass, and I was told, 1layer of fiberglass would last you 10 years, i always put 2. I never had one person that I sold a boat to complain..

1. No - the resin will kick in long before you could get the floor in

2. standard poly

going to echo Bondo...... What is a CS

also going to state, at the top of the forum are stickies. specifically the DIY sticky. read link 14 in its entirety. then link 15, 18, 2, 3, 4a, and 4b.

all the ansers you could ever need are going to be there.

never buy resin from a big box store, first, its more expensive, second, it has wax in it

Carolina Skiff is a Whaler knock-off.

double the work of a standard hull to restore.
