Please don't be offended but your post is VERY hard to read.... The best I can gather you have a BUNK trailer with TWO cross members ans keel rollers mounted to them...

If I have it right you seem to want to use two rollers on the rear cross member instead of one under the keel.....

Generally you would have one keel roller per cross member to ease loading and launching with most of the weight being carried by the bunks

You mention something about the axle but I can't figure out what.

Re: 18' shoreland banks trailer setup with rollers

kevin,
my trailer is a shoreland 18' ,with 2 banks, the banks have a set of teflon 4''x1'' on top of the wood,
this trailer have only 2 cross members to set the rollers ,my question is if with 2 rollers stern and bow will be enough ,at transom i like to put double rollers together to better support the weight of the outboard,my other question ,if need a 3 roller at the center i don t like to fit it on the the axle

Re: 18' shoreland banks trailer setup with rollers

they are bUnks not banks
as long as the bunks are supporting the hull then the rollers you currently have should be fine... No I wouldn't try to mount a roller to the axle... if you have leaf springs it absolutely won't work and if you have a torsion axle it still isn't designed to have a roller on it

Show us some pics of the current setup but it sounds like it's fine as it is

FWIW the rollers under my 10,000 lb 30' cruiser (twin V-8 engines) don't even touch the hull once fully on the trailer.
