The main motor is a 1979 Johnson 85Hp.
The kicker (if it works out) 9.5 Hp. Johnson short shaft.

1.) Should I look for a connecting linkage between the motors for steering?

2.) Is it a good idea to fix the kicker straight ( how is it done?) and use the main motor as rudder?

3.) Is some kind of throttle and shifting remote control setup available?

I already had the little motor but would look for another kind if I have to.

Thanks, I hope to come up with some feasible system.

Yes

No, I tried it and it doesn't really work

3.) Is some kind of throttle and shifting remote control setup available?
For that motor there probably is. I don't think there is for my 4 though :(

I saved this picture from the forum a long time ago. This member fabricated this set up: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x54/burroak1/DSCN0004.jpg

As I recall he also had a second remote control box for the kicker. It was awesome.

Thanks Ezmobee, I have more hope now after seeing those pictures. (there is limited info. about these set-ups on the internet as far as I can see).
I love trolling and we all know that the gas is going to be around $4-5 just in a matter of time. Let the little kicker do the work while slooowly sipping gas.

I'll be looking at some point too to remotely run a kicker. I'll let you know what I can find...
